"Tiny" Small Special with 2nd gen. OD

Decided to prototype a mixture of designs in a 5e3 chassis. So....fender deluxe transformers, tube rectified, 2x6v6, cathode biased, Small Special values and basic architecture, with a 2nd gen. OD (push/pull switch on treble) squeezed in, and finally PAB on a toggle switch. I love it! Difficult to get a bad sound. Great clean sound with very controlable breakup. Sweet overdrive, and works really well with pedals. Voltages are 365v, PI 290v, V2 197v and V1 196v with a dropping string of 470R, 18K and 2k2. Still room for improvement ( with the voltages!), though I can't complain at the moment with the tone.

Thanks Telentubes for your comment and also for posting your build! Yes its a very tight fit! I wanted to try this out first with parts I had available. I am so pleased with the outcome, I will now make a chassis that will be a little easier to work on and with a better layout for the controls, footswitch etc.
Indeed Paul, a cool rehearsal amp is what I was aiming at! Its a very easy and versatile amp to work with and, as a Deluxe sized combo, really portable!

I did something sorta similar with a Tweed BlueMeister & active FX.

I used a sawed off shortened 18w tweed type chassis into a cabinet about the size of a 5E3 Deluxe. It now has an Emminence Texas Heat speaker in it. Stand up PT & OT.

Cathode biased 6L6's. Maybe 15-17w? It has relay switching. I'm very happy with the tone of it. The active FX also makes a great master volume for me.
