Specific RF examples of HRM vs. non-HRM

Post by Fischerman »

If you had to pick two songs from Robben that you consider the quintessential HRM tone and the quintessential non-HRM tone, what would they be?

Also, what do you think was used on his version of Politician from the Mystic Mile CD and on The Way That You Treated Me from...I don't know what it's from. I just heard the studio version of TWTYTM and the tone in that song f'ing kills (I had a bootleg live version that was really good too but had never heard the studio version until this past weekend).

Just trying to get a better idea of the tonal differences between them. Thanks.

That song is titled The Way You Treated Me (You're Gonna Be Sorry) and is from the Robben Ford recording Blue Moon (2002). Don't know about the amps,
