Brite cap on clean relay works opposite.

Hey guys,

I implemented this lay-out in my OTS build.

But it's working exactly the opposite as should. Meaning the on-off-on switch works on the clean channel (so it's off-on-off on clean). And I get off-on-on on the OD. Instead of the clean. I tried to reverse the diode and accompanying connections.. but it works the same.

Could it be I used a different relay compared to the stock ceriatone ones? Or do I need to exchange some wires?

Yes the Ceriatone od channel has(due to the wiring) the relay coil inactive, while the clean channel has the relay active.
Original Dumble's have the clean channel relay inactive and the od channel active.
Just check the wiring going to the relay, just a little puzzle but once figured out you'll never forget it.

Yep. Looking at the layout - the wire from the outer lug of the volume pot connects to the nc (normally closed) contact on the relay and the 22m resistor. Move that wire - and the 22m resistor - to the no (normally open) contact and all should be good.

Erwin is correct..I drew up that layout for Dumble style relay's (OD active)..NOT for Ceriatone OTS.Whatever..

I understand.. Ceriatone is a little sensitive around here.. but still I've built my own kit and with different xformers.

But since it's your layout I also owe you a thank you! So there!.

On a side note... now the switch is also not kinda working right. down is both treble, middle is both treble off, and up is treble only on clean. So middle and down position seem to be reversed. but it's not something I worry about.
