Bryan if you can take some additional pics of the back of pots along the ground buss, that would be great.

Talbany, is there anything I should be aware of?

In order to positively identify the amp we would need at least 3 internal shots and 2 external (although mo would be better)...
Internal (Hi Rez)
1 looking straight down of the entire amp,
2 The entire control panel
3 The back panel,
External (still in the cab)
Front
Back

Post these and we'll be more than happy to give you the rundown
BTW..Sometimes Dumble dates his amps somewhere inside, A date of manufacture would also help..Thanks

Good Luck!!and looking forward to admiring more of the mans work!!

Thanks Bryan for the quantity of pics, it's definitely the real deal. It's a 100/50W with Fender Showman? PT, Fender Twin choke and OT, has 100K OD controls and a classic tone stack. If I had to bet, I would guess it's a low plate (100K) amp under the goop.

Yes, this amp was used on ALL the Mike Post session dates: Magnum PI, Remington Steele, A-Team, Simon and Simon, Hill Street Blues, and more. He also used this amp on 16 Candles, Weird Science, etc..

We will be featuring Steve on our next episode (and his dumble) and he talks about the amp, his career, etc..he did say that it is all original and no mods/upgrades have ever been done to it. He got it from HAD in 1983 aorund the same time that Robben and Larry got theirs.

Steve is a personal friend of myself and my partner on the show Adam. Steve taught at USC (Univ. of So Cal) and Adam and myself both are graduates from there - many years after Steve left though. Steve was actually Adam's teacher when he was in high school. small world!

Just wanted to say thanks to the forum for so much expertise and knowledge on this subject! It's a great education for me :D

If anyone knows or is interested in this amp, Steve is going to sell it and I can make the necessary introductions (I'm not looking for $, just helping him out).

cheers,
Bryan

Thank you Bryan for your time and effort in taking and showing us these pictures.

OTOH, I have a gut feeling the amp will be asking for a cap job soon (see image).

Will be looking for that report Bryan, thanks again.

All the best.
