I can believe that it sounded fantastic there. I cannot make it through any of these videos - the audio quality is horrible.

Maybe he'll use that setup at the next Crossroads Festival or similar and we'll get some better audio.

I rather look at a gut shot of the amp than watch it being played.

LOL, no, just a guitar player friend with a good ear. He told me he was expecting that muddy tweed tone Claptons been using lately but instead he sounded great.

I just read that this is a Bluesmaster combo that was previously for sale at TGP then consigned to Gruhnʻs. Also, according to someone in the loop with HAD, EC also owns an Ultra-Phonix Marshall head as well!

So Clapton with a Bluesmaster..Sounds like a good fit to me..
Let's see how long he wants to use it on the road...

I looked at some of the clips and I didn't see him stomping on any switches. I think it's the clean channel and he's cranking it for solos. What do you guys think?

That's what it sounds like to me as well. The Clapton Strat is quite a bit hotter than a normal Strat, even with the boost on "0," and I think we can see (in one of the many videos) that he has the input volume at about 3 o'clock or so. At that point, I think a BM would be breaking up nicely with that kind of guitar.

That's an HRM that I believe was on consignment from a guy in Virginia. I'm pretty sure that was one of six amps that went to a dealer in Chicago in '99 or early '00.
