Anyone reading this make faceplates or can suggest someone to make it? I can supply a PDF or vector graphic file exactly the way I want it.

Another possibility for V2, V3 is a 12BZ7 which has the same gain as a 12AX7 but has a higher plate dissapation and voltage rating...

You can call Jeanne an BNP Lasers have a look here http://www.bnplasers.com

They can use various different formats.

Today I worked on the grounding map. In the pictures I can see only the buss bar as a ground. All the other sites are hidden. For example there likely would be star grounds near the EL34s and I'm figuring the are on the plane of the chassis where the transformers are mounted, rather then on the plane where the tubes are mounted. Due to the angle of the photograph, they can't be seen. For the presence ground, I'll do like #124 and ground it to the speaker jack. I'm going to ground the buss bar to the input jack.

I also added one ohm resistors to cathodes on the EL34s. Most accurate schematics and pictures show these resistors on Dumble's other amps.

Hi ic-racer, great to see you back on top form, I'm looking forward to following this thread to it's conclusion. Please don't stop half way through and have a two year gap in the middle

Don't forget that #124 presence was grounded at the signal access jacks and not the speakers AFAIR.

Are you under soldering you PCB traces as HAD did to help with corrosion/current handling?

Cheers,

Paul.

Yes I forgot. I think I'm still OK putting it on the output jack. The OT will be grounded there also.

I will be doing the solder on the back.

Got a bunch of stuff in the mail today. Just about everything to finish it except the 9 pin sockets and tubes.

Agreed, this is great entertainment and largely FREE!

Ice, you have to post You Tube clips of the amp when it is finished.
Yours Sincerely
