I recognize that amp! :D

And frankly, it did not impress me much last time I heard it. I think it needed service. The year before it sounded great, so I really believe it was a tube issue! Based on playing it, I would say it is a low plate skyliner. It has the mid switch and it would bloom well with that mid switch engaged. Sn#167.

I got to compare it with my black suede 700v EL34 HRM amp. Billy Yates and Richie Hall loved that black HRM. That amp show was so much fun. Crazy fun!

I rented that amp and 3 other Dumbles 10 years ago at Ultrasound on three separate occasions. At that time, the amp sounded totally amazing. Easily the best of the four. (the only EL34 of the group as well) Jaw dropping. An honest 3-4 note $hit in your pants great. For what I like in a Dumble, that and Fords are tied for second place.

In that particular clip the Bruno's IMO a little more interesting...more chirp (maybe its just Chuck getting warmed up - what a great player BTW).
Diva or not? - Respect for Mr. D's work....)
