Re: Concert II Discussion
The way VAC 1 is shown, will it not load the clean tone stack down and shunt ALL of the signal to ground if the clean volume is turned up leaving little signal for the OD?

Re: Concert II Discussion
worked perfect for me and the customer! if you ARE concerned, just put a 10meg -22meg to ground off the coupling cap, i found the amp didn`t lose anything at ALL in the clean channel...even w/o the shunt r in! Look hard at the way it`s wired now, you still have the plate shunted to ground thru a 100K, a .047 and a 10K pot!! SO waz the diff?? NONE..John_P_WI wrote:The way VAC 1 is shown, will it not load the clean tone stack down and shunt ALL of the signal to ground if the clean volume is turned up leaving little signal for the OD?

Cool, thanks for the explanation. I'm more used to hard switching with relays... that and too much Chinese buffet for lunch the mind is quite fuzzy.

this amp ened up being SUPERNATURAL or i wouldnt even being posting @ it, really just trying to help, i have loads of time tweaking, and doing diff amps for folks, if you did that, and dumbleized the driver, 2.2K pes, it`d def amaze you, the way you have now may end up really nice for you, and that`s great!! We put a jumper in FX loop turning it on, and it really got down! Just an amazing sound!John_P_WI wrote:Cool, thanks for the explanation. Thought I'd insert a public service announcement for those interested in mods to the Concert II. I started a thread over on The Gear Page a few years back that seemed to grow exponentially - there are now hundreds of detailed posts about mods to that amp if you care to look through them.
