No, it looks just fine, but I pulled it, bottom returned, put it back in, bottom left, pulled it...LeftyStrat wrote:Awesome news Bob. Now we all know yet another thing to check.
So was the cap leaking?

So does it measure out of spec? Did you replace it and things returned to normal, or have you left out the reverb for now?Bob-I wrote:I edied the first post. Filter cap on the reverb return.Structo wrote:Whoa, so you found the problem?

Well, I can't measure it, my cheepy cap meter blew out when I put it on a charged filter cap.LeftyStrat wrote:So does it measure out of spec? Yes, I replaced it and problem is gone. I had a hard time believing it so I went back and forth between the good and bad a few times.

I don't get it..If you went directly out of V1b coupler right into the PI (Like your 1st post mentions)Bob-I wrote:Well, I can't measure it, my cheepy cap meter blew out when I put it on a charged filter cap.LeftyStrat wrote:So does it measure out of spec? That should have bypassed the reverb section all together..Oh well..Glad you got it fixed!!6) Ran a jumper directly from the output cap of V1B to input cap of the PI

I agree, it's a puzzler. I can't see how this cap killed the highs when the circuit is was supplying was not in play. Even more puzzling was that the same rail was supplying v1 and the PI so you'd think it would impact the signal I injected into the loop return.
