Bluesmaster inspired prototype

Post by roknroll »

Quick video of my buddy noodling on the amp with clip leads hanging out all over. Some dropping resistors and coupling caps hanging out. I think I am going to keep these values and install them finally. Clean, 2 different OD's. Dlator built in. 6L6 50w +-. Built with info from the Amp Garage site as well as info I picked up on my own from other sources. Chassis is from my own line of amps. A little cramped but it works and sounds excellent. IMHO!

Clean, 2 different OD's
I would be interested in whatever you are comfortable sharing about the two different OD's.

Is it one OD channel in series into another?

"psuedo channel switching" using dual pots on trim, drive & level?

OR two totally different OD tubes & channels? (ex. a pentode on one channel and a 12A_7 triode on a different channel)

or something different altogether?

With respect, 10thtx

Nice amp cradle! :D

Whoa! Six relays?

I didn't realize you were a pro builder.

Thanks for the compliment.
Maybe 7 relays if I decide to put the effects loop on/off on a relay instead of a dpdt switch, but then it bumps the footswitch to 4 position instead of three.
Actually the amp cradle is a Weber that I modified.
