ODS #183 build question

Post by M Fowler »

On the ODS 183 layout version 11 how important is it to stick with the 25pf caps on V2 because I only have 10pf and 33pf silver mica on hand?

Perhaps Radio Shack :)

Find 25pF

While you are doing this you can get the correct composition. You don't want silver mica you want good quality ceramic caps for the snubbers.

Thanks damn Dumble amps are driving me nuts with this parts ordering all the time. Damn good thing I'm only building the RF102 and this TKT183 anymore and I'd be certifiably crazy  8)

I had to stop working on this amp for awhile but it's coming along I think.

Mark,

Nice work and I must say I'm happy to see you've started down the Dumble path.

What resistors are you using? Those pretty blue ones don't look like NTE.

Thanks there are four different types of blues resistors in this amp, Mepco RN70D 100k, 1W-MF, 2W-MF and 3W-MF. Plus the RN65 brown ones.

I have had 3 CE chassis for probably 1-2 years 2 black and 1 silver. Traded the silver for cab. Then bought another black chassis from Bill. One of these days all three will be fired up.

I also own a Ceriatone built Bluesmaster HRM 100w and a Redplate Black Verb.

I did built the Tweed Overdrive Special (TOS) that is Dumble based. :)
