For what purpose? To buy? To play? To stare at? :)

You won't find one, neither on the web nor in a store. Sometimes there will be an auction on ebay going easily above 20.000 bucks, cause everyone wants to have one. Mr. Dumble doesn't build any amps anymore and in total only a few hundred have ever been built, which are now kept by the most famous players ever, so forget about getting to play an original dumble. If you are willing to spent all your money, you should visit charity auctions, where Eric Claptons Blackie was sold for +200.000, as I can remember, there you might find one. I've been looking for one, since I was a child, and even though today I would have the money left, I never got the glimpse of one. So, good look!

Not quite...

Dumble still builds amps, but it's pretty rare and you need to know how to get in touch with him. It's pretty low key and not cheap. There's one on ebay now. The seller is on the gear page. If you're serious, call him and make an offer.

You should look at Fuchs, which IMHO is the best Dumble inspired amp out there today.

He really isn't building Warren. Unless you are Santana or Mike Landau. You can maybe get a mod on a Bassman or Twin done though. One channel.

The seller wants $75,000 btw. Frnakenstrat spoke to him on the phone.

OK, I was told that someone just got one from him for 25k. If you like, I'll give you details when we next talk.

My email works... LOL

Anyway, I have heard he has built a few for some high profiles, but you or I ain't getting one. In fact, a good friend of mine, killer pro player, was referred to Alexander by Robben. He went Dumble's house 3 times. Hung out, jammed, etc.... This was 2 years ago.

Dumble would not make him an amp. Offered to do a mod for $5k.

A freind of a friend just got a new ODS made by him. I haven't seen it, so I can't say for sure. I trust my friend who told me and played the amp.

Bob, about 3 weeks ago, I got to play a 30W Fuchs w/4 6V6s and 2 12", and have to admit, the dumble tone was definitely there, but for $2800, I like my sano/dumblite just fine.

I think the point of this thread was that he wanted to buy a real Dumble. If not, there are a few amp builders that make Dumble inspired amps. Two Rock, Fuchs, etc.

As for pedals, there's a thread on the gear page that's getting a lot of attention:

Interesting pedal - I saw somewhere on the WWW a stompbox site that hed FET schematics for a non-HRM that could be built in a pedal - This guy probably perfected it - the 400 buck pricetag is enough to make any donar amp with suitable transformers a Dclone that would have to sound better than a FET stompbox. But you would have to do the work yourself for that price.

Aside from seeing Dumbles on stage with folks like Santana and Sonny Landreau, I've only seen two. Both (at the same time) were at the Music Exchange (is that the right name?) outside Baltimore, MD. He has this odd alphanumeric price code on the tags. And, unless you flash serious cash, won't let you touch anything. One of them was a head/cab in grey suede, the other was in purple suede, as I recall. Like I said, the price tags were in code, so I have no idea what he was asking. This was several years ago.

Forget about it, he won't sell, not for a million dollars. You need to know the right people, who need to get rid of their Dumble. A friend of mine had a severe accident - because he couldn't play guitar afterwards, he sold his Dumble for *moan* 500.000 Dollars. This is MAD!!! But money doesn't make you happy, when you are bound to a wheelchair for the rest of your life. That is why people enjoy a dumble amp more than huge sums of money. :)
