I would have to think so. I can't think of much more of a mod to get a Marshall sound and still keep it a D-style circuit.

The ultra-phonix mods are applicable to certain Marshall circuits. There are also two other Marshall related mods, IIRC, the "Mega Plex" and the "Purple Haze".

I've read reference to Dumble ultra-phonix modding Marshalls on other forums so I think that is what the OP was referring to.

Back in the 90's in dallas I knew a guy who had a dumble modified superlead amp. I'm am not sure what was done inside but he used a dumbleator. The guy was really into Eric Johnson and the amp and his setup nailed the tone.

Cool- Anyone around here ever tried to build one? Are there Schematics?

I have a Metro Superbass I would consider modding up.

Dumble "Ultraphonix" Fender Showman
Dumble "Ultraphonix" Ground up '75 Marshall JMP (one of two)

Wow, I would love to own either one of the Dumble "Ultraphonix" Fender Bandmaster or Dumble "Ultraphonix" Fender Showman.

They are such a great sounding amp.
