D lator EFX, and OT choice

Post by wavetuner »

Hello Group,

1. I am building my first Bumble and Dlator out of Vintage Fender Iron, it will be a High Plate 102 and I have a Twin or Bassman 100 OT. Which do you like? I sourced the classic parts and made the PCB already and am using a standard ODS chassis

2. It seems the Dlator is a must have too, love the step by step! What is the consenses on the effects without breaking the bank?

I have looked at TC electronics so far... the G sharp, M300, M350. I will miss the real deal spring! and have few around. I 'm an old Blond Showman and BF Twin guy. Don't use pedals much except for drive which I would like to ditch.

Thanks Jim

Its kinda hard to not break the bank somewhat, especially If you're looking for the Robben Ford type 2290 delays that don't muck up the original sound of the amp . Either a M300 or 350 with a Suhr MiniMix II (both can be had fairly used on TGP).

The M300 is serial operation only & it kinda messes with the Dry tone of the amp quite a bit, the MiniMix cures all that mess by letting you run it in Parallel instead.

The Providence Chrono nails the 2290 sound too, and no need for a MiniMix as it has a built in Parallel Mixer. These can also be found used at around $275 or so (On FeaBay or TGP)
