Hi,
I'm currently building a #183 clone and confused myself a bit regarding the PT wiring. Now, I'm using a separate transformer to power the "Relay Power Supply PCB" and a Classic Tone Twin PT (http://www.classictone.net/40-18042.pdf).
Just wondering where to wire the 6.3V secondaries of the PT to? Pin 2 and 7 of the first EL34?
Cheers,
Toby

Correct. And ground the green/yellow wire. No need to add the 120 ohm resistors when you have the ground on the secondaries.lionaird wrote:Hi,

You obviously run heater wire between pins 2 and 7 of all the EL34s. Do you then wire pin 2 of the fourth EL to pin 4/5 of the first 12Axx? And pin 7 of the EL to pin 9 of the 12Axx?

Re: #183 secondaries wiring
Just be consistent on all the power tubes, and then run the wires consistently to the same pins of each of he preamp tubes. So 4-5 goes to 4-5 and 9 to 9. They don't have any connection power/pre, but each set of tubes should be run to the same pins.
I hope that makes sense its late here...

Yes, that makes sense. But where do the preamp tubes get their heater current from?amplifiednation wrote:Just be consistent on all the power tubes, and then run the wires consistently to the same pins of each of he preamp tubes. Re: #183 secondaries wiring
Sorry, all the tubes run off the same 6.3v, just go from your last el34 to your pi, then to V2 and v1lionaird wrote:Yes, that makes sense.
