Thanks.

Yeah I also used the reverb PT.

It is too tall for a 1U enclosure.

I can't believe how much they want for even low quality 1U enclosures.

I ended up using a Hammond steel enclosure that is huge (3" tall) but someday I will put it in something smaller.

This is what I came up with for using the Reverb PT.

Just a quick update.
I did poke around a bit and moved a few wires on the OD tube. The amp seems to be smoothing out a bit with use.

I have gone on a little but of a NOS preamp tube buying spree lately....
I have always read how much of a difference they make, but I never 100% bought into the hype. Well, I think I am now a believer.

I had been trolling boards and the bay for good value tubes, and managed to pick up 10-12 preamp tubes at what I would think are reasonable prices. Are they all 100% new, probably not. But most sure sound good.

When I build this amp, i had a tung sol in V1, EH in V2 and a Sovtek LPS in V3. Sounded good, but maybe still a little harsh on the od.

I now have an RCA 12ax7A greyplate in V1, a GE 12ax7 short plate in V2, and a long plate GE in V3. I definitely think the OD tone has improved greatly.
I have a few more tubes that I want to try, including a couple of sylvanias.

I also have all my parts to build my dumbleator, so hopefully I can get that done this week too. I will keep everyone posted.
