newbee 124 question about resistors on V4-V7

Post by echo44 »

Hi
Getting farther along on my build and studying the layout and
pictures of other forum members #124 build
I notice on the layout there is 120ohm resistor on pin 7 to ground
and pin 2 to ground. On peoples builds on this forum on the pictures
each 6L6 tube has a resistor from pin 7 to ground and no resistor
on the 2 pin of any of the 6L6? I am assuming from the pictures
from each pin 7 tube there is a 120ohm to ground resistor?
Sorry I also can't find these resistors on the schematic
Thanks!

They are on both #124 schematics, look at the power supply. You will see pins 2 & 8 instead of 2 & 7 to ground. If you see a build without an artificial CT, it's because the PT used had a filament winding center tap. I don't recall seeing a build with only one artificial CT resistor.

Look on the schematic for #124.

The two 120R resistors are shown on the heater winding
shown at the bottom of the secondaries of the PT.

ok thanks!
another sticking point for me I notice on the schematic
on the FET circuit there is a 100uf/50v cap on the layout the same cap
is 100uf/25 volt which is correct? Does it matter? I have a
100uf/100v extra the same as used on the rectifier board could I use
this will it effect sound?
Thanks
Another 10 years and I may have this thing up and working will post some
rookie pics soon
