A little soundfile with #94

Post by Markus »

Hi folks,

today I recorded a little blues song with my Dumble ODS (No. # 94).

http://soundcloud.com/herrmarkus/forumsblues-herrmarkus

The rhythm track is from a friend of mine, I only played the solo part. I don´t have any knowledge in recording, mixing and mastering. The recorder was a Marantz mp3 recorder (normally a recorder for journalists to record interviews...), the microphone is a stereo mic from Rode. The guitar you hear is my Les Paul CS Black Beauty. The "studio" is my small music room in my house, a normal room without any studio equipment. I played the Dumble in bedroom voice - not quite loud. I mixed the tracks with an audio software from Magix, but I´m not such good in working with the software. So I only cut the two solo tracks I´ve recorded to one and put some reverb and delay to the solo track. That´s it! No more effects...
I hope you enjoy my amateur recording work:-)
All the best from Germany

Hi Markus, thanks a lot for sharing. Fun to listen!

IMO it would be of great additional information value if you could perhaps post a link to an alternative dry version of this clip without reverb and delay in the "Dumble video/sound clip reference" thread: https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=11906

Thanks again and have a nice weekend,

Max

This amp used to belong to Gregor Hilden right?

This one right?

Hi to all!

Yes, I will post another version of the little blues song without any effects in the next week. No, it´s not a Les Paul with burstbuckers, I play a 490 humbucker on the neck and a 498 on the brigde. I like them more than the burstbuckers.

Here are two songs from an album I´ve published in Germany last year. Bluesrock with German texts. On the song "Navi" you hear the Dumble #94 with a ES 335, on the song "Moment" I play the Dumble with my 1971 Telecaster.

Hope you´ll enjoy!

Could you post some more detailed pics of the amp for us all? Like the back side of the chassis, the transformers, pots, and boards? Thanx!
