1st timer
Hello all...I want the ceriatone dumble clone. However I have a few questions...what is the best way to go about it . How hard is to build my own? What is the easiest/cost effective way to do so. Thanks in advance
I'd rather be paid to be me than to pay to not...

Have you built any thing before?
If not then i would suggest you take a look at some thing a wee bit more straight forward than a dumble clone. It is vital that you have good clean soldering and well though out lead dress in any kind of dumble, so a simple one or two channel amp like a JTM/JCM or even the ceriatone matchless clones might be a better place to start. Still a challenge, but a more forgiving amp for a novice builder. Also much simpler circuits so if something does go wrong it will be way easier to find out where. I have made a JTM45 and swapped out the board in a 1987 reissue. Both great projects to learn basic topography and how to use my tools.
Having said that, if you have some experience with building circuits and your willing to take your time then Ceriatone could be the way to go.
As far as i know they are still doing prefabricated kits, so you would get completed boards and then all of the off board components that are attached to the tone stack, input jacks and so on. You would then have to finnish the amp. There are no instructions or schematic, only a layout, but if you have some know how you should be all good. There are also a couple of build diaries on the ceriatone forum that you could look into.
If you have more experience then this forum is by far and away the best resource. Take a look in the files section and chose an amp from those catalogued as stickies. 124 is very well documented with schem's, layout and a very comprehensive BOM. There are also many threads detailing building it that include tips on lead dress and so on. Also contacts for FET, preamp, power amp and relay boards as well as chassis and head boxes.
Good luck and have fun.
I'm tossing up wether i might build a hybrid JTM/JCM/JMP or a 124 my self.
