Thanks for the info. I know that it is a clean and loud amp
-How was the global NFB done on these amps?
-And was there local NFB like the 22M/.047/22M on v1b?
Thanks again for the info!

Thank you for the information. I know now that I do not have to test the filters after the reverb mixer. Does this mean it is after V1b? Can you shed a light on the NFB for the early models, I am interested. Is this 'different thing' barrowed from another design? Is it like the Winterland? Ok, local feedvack on V1b, I assume with the skyline stack?
Is the preamp all 12ax7/7025?
Build report is in testing phase.....Using a 1x15'' vibroverb clone that I build a couple of years ago, I tried this:
The EF86 preamp going into a AB763 reverb circuit via a 4.7M//10pf. Then a 1meg master volume with a 15pf into a ODS phase inverter into a CF (supertwin style) into 2x 6l6. EVM 15L. I also added a 1M pot for the reverb send. I am familiar with the ODS reverb schematic but I wanted to test this first before I hacked up the amp completely, so I left the reverb AB763 style. So far this thing sounds good but I plan to build a SSS into a into a SSS chassis. I already have the power and output transformers and 4x GE 6550's. When I have all the info I need, I will start drawing up a chassis and order one to build the complete high power amp. So please keep the info coming! I appreciate it.
Jelle,
You are heading to SRV style (SSS) direction, with your quest, it
seems?? Those were somewhat different as many times stated.
telefunken 7025 NOS preamp tubes.

Correction to my previous post,
only 20 SSS amps were made, please dont ask for circuit details since I can not share that. just wanted to let you know the correct production figures, ok.
Yes, the sound I'm looking for is influenced by SRVs albums. I know he used may many amps. The current setup I'm using in my amp with the EF86 tubes sounds very much like the album 'Couldn't stand the weather'. I have tried the 7025 and the EF86 preamp and both give me decent sounds.
Thank you again very much for the information. If you are willing to share any other information on these amps please let me know.
Thanks,

The pics I have seen of SSS did not show inductors.
In Orange Amps you will find that the filter selector is merely a switch of different decoupling caps on one stage. Maybe this is how Dumble did it? But what is the other rotary switch with all the resistors for in the mentioned SSS?
@Metalhead: I think you mean noval preamp tubes (EF86), not octal?
Hi, ORANGE amplifiers F.A.C.s toneswitch controll was mentioned on my earlier post. ElectronAvalanche
could you give more information on that picture. What is a status of your build of that "silver alligator" DUMBLELAND derivative. Is it finished or still in progress?Update would be wellcomed! Many thanX for your info! HOTRODFORD, if not any info on circuit, maybe you could share some pictures?Never seen those MYSTIQUE "King tone consouls " !! Thanx again for your participation in this discussion!

Hi,
Maybe the early SSS are somewhat similar to the Winterland....Does anybody have a schematic of the Winterland amp? There are pics in the files section...
What is already known about those resistors and the Range expander??
