Redplate live - great great sounds

Post by bluesfendermanblues »

Dear All,
I was at a Blues festival yesterday in Denmark and head a local blues hero, Mike Andersen, playing his Gibson 335 through a Redplate BlackVerb 1x12 combo. Very sweet!

Mike Andersen used the 'clean' channel all the time - volume around 4, and it sounded very much like (old school) BB King as in "live at the Regal".

Congrats Henry, what a great, great amp?
And congrats to Mike Andersen for great chops and great singing:

Really like Mike Andersen's' Echos...has a very nice style, songs are really mixed well.."I'm over you" is that classic Chicago smokey blues style that I love
Thanks for sharing

Yes he is a good player and I also have the Red Plate Blackverb basic combo running WGS retro 30 speaker. It has three switch pedal. The presence is can be switched off as well. Preamp has a rotary switch for difference voicings. Running 6L6s.

Thanks for posting this - Mike must be doing well, he just ordered a 2 X 10 cab for an amp stand :)
