4-holer ODS chassis question

Post by mlp-mx6 »

For those of you who have built-in a D'lator in a CE 4-holer chassis, where did you put the send and return pots?

I have two very small 250K pots that I was thinking could either 1) go on either side of the 3rd ('Lator) tube, or 2) Go on the outer edge of the back panel beside the "Pedal" footswitch jack.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks,
Michael

Here's where I put mine in my 183 type build in the CE four-holer. They are 16mm pots in the (enlarged) OD & PAB manual switch holes.

You can put the send and return pots on back.

But, the output pot can act as a overall master volume.
I would consider putting that on the front panel in place of the regular master volume.
Replace the master volume pot with a voltage divider consisting of a 270K/100K resistors.
The 100K goes to ground and the output is taken at the junction of the two resistors.

Or you can try different values depending on how you want it to sound.
Approximating the 1M pot like a 680K/330K divider.

David, Did you have to enlarge the hole for the ethernet connection? Which interconnect did you use. Thanks.
