Artificial Center Tap Resistors

Post by steve_p »

Hi All,
Quick question (I hope...):

I overlooked the fact that my PT for my #124 build did not have a center tap on the heater winding.
I do not have the 120R resistors that are called out in the original schematic, however I do have some 100R resistors.
Will I have any problems making this substitution? I've seen mention of 100R resistors on other amp styles, but not in relation to the Dumbles, so I figured I would ask before I went ahead.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

100R should be fine. Do you currently have hum?

I haven't fired the amp up yet, but I figured I would be proactive in adding them.

Thanks for the quick response.
