I will have to read more,but you most definitely have a smokin amp.Fig's clips do it justice and it sounds near where I hear my guitar tone being

Still the Deluxe iron, Bob. The little adjustment to the NFB resistor really brought the amp to life. However, to hear how much fatter the amp sounds with decent iron, listen to Brownnote's clips in the thread he just posted. Killin!

Well after listening to both sets of clips (different transformers) I'm thinking I prefer yours Norm. More of the Robben tone that I like in my opinion.
I'd be up for a kit as well.
Not being an experienced amp builder yet there are always questions. I have built a couple of SE amps and an 18 watt lite and am ordering parts for a couple more amps. My question being, what does anyone think about a Dumble style amp with el84s'? Reason why I ask is I have two Hammond organ chassis sitting here, tube rectified, el84 power. One has 315-0-315v, the other 340-0-340v. I guess in thinking el84s' and 6v6s' are somewhat the same in that they could use the same transformers, correct?

I have a Hybrid-A circuit stuffed into one of Brownnote's 18watt Lite IIb chassis running EL84s. It sounds great to my ears. May not have enough headroom for some folks, but as a small gig amp it does just fine. Your 340-0-340 iron would give you tons of headroom running 6V6s.

I wrote a brief review of the clips and what you have shared about the Dumble Lite,at yet another forum I hang out at due to interest there-here it is:

I am not,repeat,not an amp builder,but I could turn into one based on the way it sounds.I was told it's about 300 bucks in parts,and one guy built using Heyboer iron,Normster built using Deluxe Reverb iron from Ted Weber...I heard the clips of both,and thought that the DR iron initially sounded better,Norm tells me that it ain't necessarily so,and that the Heyboer iron provides a more complex harmonic set when the amps are played side by side.I think it sounds as good as my 3500 dollar Two Rock,perhaps even better,as it sounds a bit like RobbenFord's rig...for 300 bucks,that my friends,is something!Last time I checked a Dumble costs in the vicinity of 30K$....This sounds as good for 1/100 of the price,even in a kit,I have developed acute GAS for one of these.

I heard the TGP DumbleLite clips and it is an absolutely beautiful sounding Amp! I am starting a Dumble build now and that tone is exactly what I am going for (to me the RWB speaker sounded better and closer to the "Mystic Mile" Robben tone I am after...) BTW does RWB refer to the Eminence Red White and BLues speaker?)
