As for a logo, I'm not sure we could get everyone to agree on what it should be. And then, where would we put it? We've pretty much used the whole front panel for controls. I suppose I could put "D'Lite" just above the pilot light, but wouldn't that be just a little too cheezy?

I think it will be a nice touch...Putting the word Dumble on it is a stretch and more so using it for sales. I am sure that will have some consequences. But D'Lite or D-Lite will be nice, it’s short, I think it could fit in on the little space that is available...

That "D-Lite" adds a nice touch to the faceplate--at the risk of pushing the envelope, I bet there's enough room to add "ODS" underneath the pilot light. I've been fence-sitting on committing to this build, but these cosmetics would do it for me.

Yes, I'd like a copy of the font file. That's the style used on the '70s amps. Would look cool if we ever decide to do a "silverface."

Moss is hounding the machine shop daily to get the test chassis done. Transformers are spec'd and the order will go in today. Boards are being cut, drilled, and eyeletted. Stock is in for the first 10 kits. Head and combo cabs are almost ready. (Not part of the kit, but Moss thought he'd arrange to have some built for those of you who can't get it done locally.)

Long story short, Moss is tallying up the total cost for the kit and will probably start taking full kit orders this week. It looks like we will begin shipping 1st or 2nd week of January.

BTW, I share everyone's pain. I haven't seen my prototype in a week and I'm chomping at the bit to build one of these production kits myself. Also, Moss replaced the OPT in my prototype with some larger iron (very close to the production spec) and it sounds amazing. All hype aside, the Hybrid-A preamp pushing 6V6's is a magical combination. I'm surprised Dumble didn't build more of them. (The only one I'm aware of is the "studio" model he built for Carlton.)

Yes. In fact, the preamp side of the chassis has the same dimensions as a full-size Dumble so just take a look at the Dumble pics floating around the net. Where space will become an issue is supplying power to the relay. You will not be able to squeeze a 6V transformer in there, but you could use the 5V taps off the PT and install a small rectifier board.

The only reason I left relays and foot switching out of the design was to keep it simple. If you go back through the early build threads of a lot of ampgarage posters, you'll see that many of the problems they encountered were related to foot switching circuits. I figured I'd make life easy for the new builder, but anyone with experience could certainly figure out how to throw in a relay.

I'll consider hanging the 6V transformer on the underside (using a tubedown configuration). Sorry I haven't been following this thread in a couple days. I just ordered my chassis.

That tubedown faceplate is nice - sorry we couldn't use the 70's font this time but I s'pose we could always use a replacement/upgrade faceplate later if the chassis remains the same.

What about a weber relay board, those run off the 6.5v filament wires right?
