LNFB switch at V1 explanation please

Post by T Wilcox »

Hi everyone
I recently built a C-tone OTS FM50 modern eagle mod. It is the latest OTS offered by C-tone. Out of the multiple OTS's they offer only the mod eagle FM and the standard HRM have a LNFB ( local negative feedback loop ) switch at V1.
I have been playing on this amp for less than a month approx 50hrs runtime and while tweaking the amp have found this switch to have a large effect on the amps voicing. I am not sure yet whether I like it on or off or both.
I have read another thread where someone said it changes from D*mbly sounding to M*rshally sound. I dont completely agree nor disagree.
I know most on this site like to keep their amp specs close to the originals but if someone has added this mod to their build could you please give a slightly dumbed down explanation of its function.
Just want to know what everything is.
Thanks for reading
Todd
