Post by M Fowler »

Received my Red Plate Blackverb from Henry today, nice amp.

I have a lot to learn on how to operate this amp many great features to explore.

Here are some photos Henry had taken before she was shipped.

The shift is a four position rotary switch on left is Twin-Super-Max. Voice control for various styles.

I did not get a manual with the amp and Henry hasn't responded as to all the functions. On the back of the amp is smooth and thin-normal really like that function the amp really does get smooth and boost in volume.

There are so many tricks to this amp I have only had a few hours with it so far and learning each time I play. Trying get a stage set-up right now with the three botton foot switch.

Here is a shot of my Redplate Blackverb Loop #44, it has the tube effects loop or Dumbulator which gives you even more options to consider and unlike the new ones this one has seperate send and return pots on the front and a loop bypass switch on the return pot. The new blackverbs have a set resistor value inside the amp for the send and the return pot on the front. I like having the extra tube gain stage the loop brings, also I have the three way switch near the input volume, no rotary 6 way rotary because again mine is the better older model. lol
These are killer amps, got mine used.
Henry owner of Redplate even offered to take it back in to make sure it's running on all cylinders....believe me it is!

My Redplate was a fantastic amp, and Henry was great to work with. TOTALLY on the ball! I sold the amp because I just could not quite bond with the feel, but the tones I got and posted on my site are among the best I have. KILLER amps from a great guy and excellent buisness man. (In the GOOD sense! He stands behind everything 1000%) I would highly recommend him to anyone. GO HENRY GO!!!

I refuse to comment any further regarding Henry's great amps and probably will move my posts out of Dumble discussion so we can talk freely without hassle.
