Amp Garage Generosity

Post by Structo »

HAPPY NEW YEAR AMP GARAGE!

I just wanted to say what a great forum this is and how helpful and generous everybody is.

When I had mentioned that I was in need of a head cabinet and that I would possibly build one later on, forum member Scotto messaged me and said he had a Ceriatone head cab that he was not using.
He said he would give it to me and that I just had to pay shipping.
That was awesome of him!

Then to top it off, once he shipped it by Fedex he told me Merry Christmas and to not worry about the shipping.
He knew that I haven't worked in quite a while so he paid the shipping.

I was blown away. I got the cab safe and sound on Tuesday.
I installed some nickel plated corner protectors.
The mounting holes were real close and all I had to do was hog them out a little bit.

The CE chassis are just a bit narrower than the Ceria chassis but it's only about a 1/4" on both sides, hardly noticeable at all.

Thanks again to Scott and this great forum.

This is the high plate 100w 6L6 ODS amp that is very close to #102 specs.

Tom,

Thanks very much for the publicly spoken kind words! I've taken plenty from the forum in terms of advice from all including your own PMs helping a novice like me try to dial in bloom on my 50 watt amp. I was thrilled to find a good home for that head cab! Hope everyone on the forum has a Happy New Year and achieves their goals in seeking the perfect sounding D style amp!
