Someone has asked me who is the best transformer manufacturer?
He is intending to build a Dumble style amp.
I mentioned a few names such as Mercury Magnetics, Heybour, Classic Tone.
I also gave him links to Mojo Tone and Ruby, as I thought HAD originally used Magic Parts transformers in his amps.
If you could give me some feedback, that would be great. Thanks.

Re: Best transformer manufacturers for D style amps?
Magnetic Components www.triodeel.com but they don't have a lot of 220V PTs. Made in Chicago on old equipment, very good prices (before freight to Oz of course). Good stuff built like in the '60s.
Most Mojotones are made by Heyboer.
Mercury Magnetics tweed iron is getting excellent ratings for Dumble circuits. Nice thing is you have a 5V winding for 5V relays on the PTs!
If you want to use EL34s or other 1.6A heater tubes, Marstran makes very good Marshall PTs. www.marstran.com
