The problem I had was the lettering on the front panel. I would have preferred screen printing, but I end up going with a vinyl sticker.
The vinyl is okay, though it is delicate, so may be laser etching would have been better, provided mistakes weren't made.
As far as performance goes, this thing definitely sweetens the tone of the amp. If you have a D style amp and you don't have an effects loop, I think it is recommended.
As far as building it goes, once the graphics were done, it is pretty easy to build.
It was built to resemble a real Dumbleator as the mate is a real fan of HAD's equipment, but of course, this thing could never be mistaken for the real thing. It has a 2 RU high case, it has three position bright switches, the LED is mode conscience letting the user know when it is in standby, the transformer isn't mounted on the back of the rack case, the tube is accessible on the back of the rack case, the board layout is completely different form the real thing, the component values are different. I could go on, but you get the idea.
Kudos Moss, a lovely version of the Dumble effects loop.
