I think so. I spoke to him in Holland when he was about to travel to the USA to do a tour and pick up his Bludo.
Nice guy. Great sound. Mind you he sounded pretty good through his Dr Z. Had an old Superreverb with him as well I think.

Looks like the Two-Rock he played on his last US small club tour.

Great playing! Relaxed pocket and terrific triplet use! Btw, it is the triplet phrasing that makes Matt's playing similar to RFs. Whther he likes it or not.... RF is a triplet phrasing master.

Damn straight, but I hear more similarities and differences as well. Schofield approaches with more free abandon where Ford is more careful in his approach.

Also vocalization is a key difference, Schofield can out sing Ford anyday IMHO. I've always felt that Ford would benefit from Santana's approach to vocals, hire the best and keep your mouth shut

Not quite fair to Robben, since the album 'handfull of blues' he's been a great singer IMO - no, perhaps not great, but good. IMO
Diva or not? - Respect for Mr. D's work....)

Trust me, I'm a big Robben fan and yes he's a good singer, but he's got enough talent to be one of the biggies in the industry, yet he's not anywhere near where Clapton or Santana are. I blame the lack of really strong vocals to front the band.

Spoke with Matt today: "That's another Two Rock prototype that I have back in Europe to try out at the moment. Similar to the one I had on the US tour, but even more stripped down, and "Fender-y" I suppose. Single channel, clean, dual rectified 50 watt. Took the wrong speakers for it that weekend though. "

There ya have it.
