Here's mine, not the best but I can use it to see how strong a tube will be.

The Amperexes and Telefunkens, at least the ones I have, seem fairly consistent tonewise, although they vary in gain and current draw.

I got the GE longplates because Funk said that was his favorite ODS PI.

Mullards I don't know about, I only have a couple of '80s ones whichI am led to believe are not in the same league as the older '50s & '60s.

Scott, coming back to your selection, could you tell us why you like each of those tubes in that position, especially V1 & V2?

Here is a pic of one of my preamp tube testers..Checks for tone as well.
