verb and dlator in the Twin conversion...

Post by Tonegeek »

I want to entertain the possiblity of putting reverb in my Twin>non-HRM conversion. My main objection to not doing it was that I did not want to have to use a large cab. Heck I have 2 extra tube sockets, the transformer, a bunch of 12at7s and the tank, so I am rethinking this a bit. My question is about the power supply. I am already building in the dlator and have added 2 20uf caps with appropriate dropping resistors (off the screen supply side of the choke). Presently I have 6 20uF and 2 220uF caps that will all fit in the doghouse but there is no more room for any more caps. Can I tap off existing caps to power the verb? I would think it is a bit tricky to get the right voltage where you need it by using existing nodes. Might be adding a can cap after all... Also i am not real good at calculating the voltages at each node in a PS. Won't adding another node change the voltage of the existing ones? I suppose it will change them less if I do it at the choke like the dlator.
