Sorry to keep diverting a bit from the subject but .. I'm tring to get a little less confused. So reading all this brings another question. Would an amp that originally had a deep switch and no mid switch have had a .002 under the goop for a treble cap? (Am I missing something?)ayan wrote:Remember 124 was modified by Dumble later, when it got the Skyliner EQ. Originally the switch did what it's supposed to do, i.e., the "Deep" thing, not the "Mid" thing like it does now. Lord knows how (I'm sure it has been) LC's amp has been modified.

There would probably be a .002 under the goop with a 390pf in series with that cap near the switches.Pete wrote:Sorry to keep diverting a bit from the subject but .. Gil could answer better if Dumble always used a series string of caps to get to the 333pf total treble capacitance. I am pretty sure that older amps had a single cap on the board (probably 250pf or so).
