New to Dumble area in AMPGARAGE...what to buy?

Post by Greg »

I am considering a Ceriatone Overtone kit purchase. I will build it and get my own tubes. Should I also get my own trannies or are the Ceriatone supplied trannies desirable?

Thanks

I'm personally a fan of transplanting into old carcasses. I've built 3 Dumbles in old 70's Peavey VT series amps. I've build 2 60 watters and a 120 watter, and I just got a call from a friend who found a Peavey Mace, 160 watt with 6 6L6's in his uncle's basement. He was gonna toss it but I'm thinking of making a bass amp like the Winterland.

If you go with your plan I'd get it without xformers and source your own.
