Hi guys,

Lend an ear please...... Which mix is better? Clip one with shorter verb or clip two with medium hall verb?

Check again. For about two minutes I had the same link on both. I fixed it ASAP. Grab number 2....

I prefer the longer 'verb. It adds a little air to the presentation that I like.

I liked clip 2 better and not necessarily for the larger room although that was cool.. I thought it was a bit less spikey on the top end right on the initial attack.. That could of been the mix or mike placement.. Clip 2 had a bit of a roll off right there on the edge that took just enough of that percussive attack off that to me is real apparent when your staccato-ing away like you do.. Liked em both I choose door # 2..

I like the first quite a bit better.
First of all, great playing...some your best yet, which is saying a lot. As far as the mix goes, with this type of feel (tight funk), the smaller space works better and helps translate the overall musical punch. Good sounding amp.

Now you're just getting picky

They both sound great, but I prefer the longer reverb. The problem is the guitar sounds out of place in that mix, the drums sound like they're in a little sound proofed room and the guitar is in the grand canyon. I think it's all be better if the reverb was on the whole mix, not just the guitar.

Bob, I agree. The drums in that mix just don't work at all!

I like clip 2 better.

The longer reverb, which is not over whelming, suits your playing style better on this particular track.

However, you should add a little of the guitar reverb to the snare drum......predelay could be 50-100ms in order not to clutter the snare attack itself. A little longer predelay might actually be a good thing for the guitar as well, when using longer reverbs.

Overall very nice indeed :D

Sounds cool Scott.

I (never one to leave a good thing alone) screwed around with your Aussen 1 clip and remastered it a bit.

Whats ya think :).

I think they both sound great Scott. I don't know. It's hard to say. Both work. If i had to pick i would say clip 2 but not that i think it's really any better than clip 1.
Personally I just would'nt go any heavier on the reverb than clip 2 with the current mix that you have anyway.

How do you set up your TC2290 for a "reverb" sound?
