Someone can give me suggestions to get closer to sound like R. Ford?
Tone-stack or plate-resistor...some tricks..
I thought of a HRM type , but I'm not sure.
Thanks Sergio

Re: For a R.Ford sound?
Hi sergio,
I suppose it all depends on the era of RF's tone you are seeking.
Check out Funk's 'politician' thread for some good info. Classic stack, high plates and regular twin iron.
Also, from another thread, Funk wrote when discussing RF's amp;
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Paul.

https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?p=95567#95567The Dumble amps that had no chokes used Peavey Transformers, and the Plates ran 465, Choke is 250R resistor, dropping string then goes 10K, 22K, 2.2K. The only reason these amps had no choke is because the "Donor amp" the trannies came from didn't have a choke.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Paul.

I believe Funk has stated that Ford's amp does indeed have a choke.

Re: For a R.Ford sound?
Robben's sound, to my ears, is very bright. Way brighter than any amp I've built. I'd up the bright caps on the master volumes and perhaps even the presence cap. I've played with the presence cap a bit. Going from 1uF to .68uF raises the frequncies it affects and gives a more hi-fi tone, lowering it to say 1.5uF or 2.2uF gets a high end bite similar to what I hear in Robben's tone.
