Re: Politician** Revelation Clips added**
which settings? the knobs?
vol is at 5, rock mode, treble(audio taper) is about 7 mid and bass are about 4, gain is about 4, OD vol is about 5, master about 5. presence is about 5.
Send on the loop is just above noon, the output I use as a Master volume, and had it set between talking and yelling (a tad over 3).
My 1M controls are 30% taper so you'd probably have to set off the shelf pots higher on the volumes.
Mic is a sennheiser E906 set toward the edge of the cone angled slightly toward the center per the instruction manual that came with the mic

Sounded pretty good, what did you change at 50 seconds. The tone changed, got a bit brighter.

Brandon,
That sounds pretty darn close to my ears, congratulations!
I really thought I was getting somewhere with my building skills and then this happens
. Here I am still fighting to get out of the starting gate and you've already crossed the finish line. Makes me want to cry, damn it.
.
Cheers,
Paul.

Aside from the playing i think I got relatively close.
Guitar is an 85 ish Esprit- Bone Stock, Amp is a High Plate Classic, Loop-a-lator in the loop (no effects) cab is my 2x12 open with new G12-65's
Please do not post this clip on any other forums as I am not interested in the muck associated-
Enjoy!!
Nice clip and playing Brandon! Sounds a lot like my old E.Pro!

Re: Politician** Revelation Clips added**
I converted the original wav file to MP3 and then added the verb because the original track is DRENCHED, so I just added the verb to the whole thing. Robbens track is actually brighter than this one, but I used a G12-65 because the mic was already i front of it. I don't think it sounds anything like an E-Pro, not even close. E-Pro is REALLY dark compared to this, and has a different attack/feel.
I may try one down the road with different celestions, I have an 8-ball cab with G12H-30's that may do the trick.

Cool! The G12H30s are much brighter. That may do the trick. Do you have an EV you can try? Thats not really brighter, but mine has less bottom so it appears brighter. Also, just using my Gibson 335 or 339 with the classic 57s (I think thats what they call them) brighten things up for me.

Re: Politician** Revelation Clips added**
A friend of mine owns Robbens old Dumble 4x12 from the "he don't play nothin but the blues" video which you can watch at robbens site in the video section. Sammy Sanchez(robbens tech at the time) told my friend that the cab was loaded with "Celestion 30's" to this day we are not sure if he meant vintage 30's or G12H-30's. All I know is that as many times as I've tried vintage 30's I know I don't like them, so I won't be doing any clips with them!!! LOL!! I just got some ASW speakers, I'll try those.
Also Just picked up a Japanese RF guitar, that may help as well- MAN I'm addicted to these things!
