I saw that today too. In the past it has just been
Too Many Requests
The user has sent too many requests in a given amount of time.
Here the offending user has been identified, maybe?

I've had a lot of connection problems these last few days, and indeed, I often get the message "too many requests."martin manning wrote: ↑Fri Oct 10, 2025 9:42 am I saw that today too. In the past it has just been

... specially today !!!
Re: errors on the forum last couple of days...
I see the "Too Many Requests" error frequently. Also, the site logs me off and then says I entered the wrong password when I try to log on.

Both are basically because the hosting provider has no attack throttling measures so there's some kind of bot spamming the site so much it hits some max capacity allowed per 'time window' not sure if that's per minute or what,
Nothing we can do here because the site domain owner doesn't want to do anything to improve the site in any way so it'll continue to get worse over time I'm sure.

Re: errors on the forum last couple of days...
This is annoying and unfortunate. I imagine that fixing it requires some expense, and may increase the cost of keeping the forum up and running going forward, which the owner is not willing to absorb. Ads or member subscriptions (neither of which anybody wants), are potential sources of funding. A sponsorship by one or more of the specialty electronics suppliers (where forum members spend money) would be a less intrusive and mutually beneficial solution. Thanks for keeping an eye on things.

I'd wager he'd be against any of those anyway. IMHO the only real fix would be to basically migrate content elsewhere, with someone willing to host it and keep it running there. I've just not had time lately and considering injuries to my hand make it so I can't play guitar anymore in any significant way, I've stopped playing and building amps. Mine are collecting dust and I've been considering selling them at this point.martin manning wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 11:54 am This is annoying and unfortunate.
