Anyone know of a budget ceremic speaker that would work well for bass guitar and regular guitar under a blackface bassman. Probably go with a convertible sealed/open back cab.

Budget? No. But I'd choose an EV EVM-12L variant, or a neo version like Eminence EM12 if you want light weight.

An EVM 12L was a strong front runner even though it's not cheap.

Send Jim at Scumback an email explaining what you're looking for.

If you're looking for 12" speakers, G12-80s and Vintage 30s sometimes were made with bass cones (444 rather than 1777) and can be found for pretty cheap. I think Peavey Scorpions had the same speakers between the guitar and bass models too? Not sure how you'd want to adjust for cone excursion differences between bass and guitar, especially if you're looking at a 1x12 cabinet with a V30, but I suspect a G12-80 might be up to the task.

Though not cheap.
$400
Rawson Sparfield Starfinder-100w 2in voice coil.
30hz-16,000hz frequency response. Is all but an exact copy of the original Fane 100w Cresendo. Works equally well as a Bass speaker, as it does a guitar speaker. Also great for Keys, and PA. Its the sound of Floyd, at Pompeii. All those WEM cabinets, were loaded with 100w Fane Cresendo A. A few may have had the 15in Cresendo. Is also the speaker Gilmour has used in his Hiwatt for 50+ years.
Starfinder is even charged on the original Fane charger. 20,000 Gauss. It is a clean, clear, very articulate, very unforgiving speaker.
