hello.
I wonder if anyone can help identify this 4x10 cab. I know JIm from Scumback would know but not seem him around for a while.
It's a neighbours cab and he has a lovely JMP20w lead amp from 1969 that he bought along with this cab.
Here are the pics I can't find anything on 4x10 cabs.
It is all original and I think it's quite a unique cab.

How old is this?
Looks somewhat similar to

Looks like this latter cab was put for sale once its speakers have been teared appart...

I've no idea how old it is, that's part of what I'm trying to identify. the cab you posted has side handles, my one only has a top handle .
The amp he bought with it is a 1969 JMP Lead 20w

I've just fixed it up for him.
the whole rig has been in an attic since 1985

I love those 20 Watt Marshalls. Here is a photo-laden link that shows a somewhat over the top speaker arrangement for a 20 Watt Marshall w/tremolo (2022T) including a production 4x10" cab. The cab has a handle on top like your photo. This one indicates it is 1967 vintage.

Hope this helps.

Saw Lowell George in the 70s with a 4 x 10 Marshall cab under his Dumble. A 1965B I think. Maybe this is a 1965A?? That may be worth a Google search...

Hello --
Those speakers are a well-regarded Celestion model# 7442. Google search on that may help answer some part of your questions.
Someone here in my town has one of those early 2022T amps if anyone is interested --

WOW..yes that's it

so serial on this amp is 20030 . serial in the 67 amp thee is 20017 so I recon the amp and speaker then are from around 1968 and are a matching pair as they were bought at the same time.
Lovely stuff my Neighbour will be pleased as I don't think he realises they're actually quite rare and quite vaulable.
I'll post some pics when I get the cab cleaned up and the amp and speaker together.

Sorry, I've been busy packing up my business and my life to move to Arizona. Looks like you got your question answered on the 4x10 cab, though!
I just put a 4x10 together I had in the shop forever. Out with the G10M Greenbacks, in with the 9384 10" Celestions with Pulsonic cones from February 1970, and two WGS Green Beret 10's on the bottom. What a killer mix that is.
