Seismic Audio guitar cabinets for a combo amp?

These cabs are really quite reasonable and I am wondering if anyone has any experience modifying them to hang a tweed-style amp chassis from the top? I have some tube amp chassis' that I have cloned, so now I have the originals laying around with no cabinet, and of course I have extra speakers, so the thought is buy an inexpensive cabinet, add the chassis and speaker, and I have another whole amp! With the proper care and trimming out it probably would look pretty good. Any thoughts?

This Seismic cab is oversized, and I think they all are, at least in terms of depth. I am looking for the best product to trim the cutouts, for the chassis and depending on the cabinet, the back panels. The best thing I've seen so far is Edge Trim by Trimlok. The 1/2" with 1/2" leg length looks the best for my application on this cabinet. What were you thinking? I know this is bit of a hack, and I would hope the end product sounds good and doesn't look like a Cub Scout project.

I'm interested in what you observe with these cabs. My impression is that they're cheap crap...sorry to throw poop on your party...but happy to have my preconceptions reoriented!
