Celestion g12s 20w speakers

Yes, I have 4 in a cab. They are dark/mellow sounding, but not dull and are probably best mated with bright amp like a JTM45. Since the are real vintage speakers I don't use them live.
For my Dumble clones, I prefer Celestion 12G65. They are a little more round sounding.

thanks, bluesfendermanblues. I have an opportunity to pick up 4 of these for $ 300 in a no name cab. I am about to build a Trainwreck Express from Rj, which is a bright sounding amp. Pre Rola G12m's are the most reccomended speaker for this amp

At that price, you could likely triple or even quadruple your investment!
And that would be without even selling the no name cabinet. On the other hand, you will not likely find them for that kind of price again.
You should make sure that they are not re-cones! With that said, at that price, I'd likely grab them anyways, if all properly functional!
