3/8" aluminum rod stuck in holes drilled with a forestner bit [love them!].

Now the question is leave the rods high polished silver or get them shiny anodized black. Maybe a medal badge like a car grill.....

Question - when mounting a chassis is it best to drill from the bottom?

That's pretty cool!

It immediately made me think of Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy. 8)

You can't easily drill from inside, so you pretty much have to drill from the bottom.

I flip over the cabinet and sit the amp on it. Mark the holes through the chassis holes.

I'm working on some trick mounting hardware, but its going to be a couple weeks before I can show you guys.

If you like them shiny you can clear coat them and it will prevent oxidation.
