Dumble Cabs?

Post by maskedfreakinabox »

Hey, so I'm new here and I'm currently in the design phase of my first build. My design is based off of an '88 Dumble overdrive special, thanks to a pissed off amp tech who disliked having to clean goop off the circuits every time he had to repair one and decided to scrape ALL the gook off and photograph/map the circuit, I know the schematic I'm basing mine off of is authentic. :D I happen to know a lot of professional musicians from a lot of different genres (Ben Hayes from Enochian theory is my pen-pal, Kurt Sodgren from Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is as well. Ignasio Baroa, Keith Carlock and Ruben Alvarez are all former drum teachers of mine and Dave Mustaine's number is in my contacts list and I also know a few jazz horn players like Russel Gunn and Andy Martin (Big Phat Band), getting to share the stage with some of those guys was awesome!!! 8) I'm very fortunate if I do say so myself :) ) and I have definitely have heard of lots of guitar players that seek out Dumble cabs specifically, even if they are happy with their current amps. Are there any authentic schematics on here I could look at to build a nice cab to go with my amp? The only Dumble amp/cab I've heard in person was Robben Ford's and it was INCREDIBLE. I'm a drummer/composer, so I sit by the amps A LOT and I know good tone when I hear it. That amp had it! Any advice would be much appreciated! And while I'm at it, are there any REALLY good Single-Ended transformers out there that one could point me to? I'm looking for SUPERB clarity and organic tone regardless of distortion/lack of. Thanks again!
