D'Mars ODS combo cab

Made a "soft" maple combo cab for my D'Mars ODS amp. Flamed maple with a sorta quilt/flame front panel piece left over from a project.
Amp cab is amazingly light compared to the smaller sapele speaker cab I was using with a head cab before.
Has a pseudo 3-dimensional fuller tone than before. The wood for the cab was around $60 total. Not much difference in cost than good plywood and tolex.

That is a beautiful amp! It should be absolutely living room admissible.
Cheers Stephan

That is lovely! Was the handle offset for better balance?

VERY nice work!
I like the offset handle....sorta like a milder version/look of those "George Jetson" style cabs.

Nice!
What kind of joint did you use?
Sativa or Indica?

Yes, the handle position was to have it balanced. I'm already used to it and it looks/feels normal to me.
I used half blind dovetails for the joining the pieces.
Thanks for the nice comments.

Beautiful job - good looking wood makes everything look better. What finish did you use?

Analine dye applied and sanded off 4x's to "pop" the flame more on both the "natural" and dark wood.
Then a coat of red mahoganey minwax oil stain on the dark wood.
Semi-gloss urethane 4 coats with 800 grit sanding between coats.
