The speaker cabinet? I don't believe that there is anything special going on in there other than 18awg solid wire.

Those cabinets are really nice looking.

I have no woodworking skills whatsoever,
and am always amazed at the cabinets
folks on this forum turn out...

Best wishes,

Nice looking cabs.

Reviews state the cab is exact clone of Dumble cab so not sure what thickness those are.

Matt.. 29x21.5x12

You should be able to figure the rest out.

Double thick edges are simply that.

Inner cleats 1.25 set back from the front edge.

They aren't really anything special. I'm sure they are 13 ply bb grade ply or less.

Don't spend too much time trying to "specially tune the port" just make sure there is enough air movement if you use big magnet speaks

You guys think 5\8 11 ply void free birch is stout enough for a 2 x12 or does it need to be 3\4

Ha she's deceptively strong. :)
Mostly its because I use 5\8 to build kitchen cabinets so I always have some.

Yeah the 5/8" works just fine. I've built quote a few cabs with it. You can't use the wrap around corners though, and getting a full 1/2" radius on the edge will be tough since the bearing might fall too low. You can still get an OK round over though, and the radius really only matter if fitting corners.

Hmm I'd think the bearing would still catch the edge unless you were trying to radius both edges.i dont know I've never tried .maybe a router table with fence would be necessary to get a full 1\2" radius.

Or a split fence on the router base, I think I've had success with that. But don't quote "me".

I just set it a hair shallow and finish the job by hand. No need to risk a router gouge on a nearly completed cab....5/8 is plenty stout, also let's the box add a little character to the sound. The 13 ply puts more focus on the speakers tone IMO...
