Maybe I'm just a bit more frugal w/ my EF86s'...
Great idea but I use an A/B box to switch between the two when I gig. I like the scooped mids of channel 1 for clean stuff and the extra mids of Ch 2 for some of my dirt stuff. I thought about putting them into both side of the PI but I wanted them in phase in case I wanted to try and blend both channels. I also like the option for the voltage divider feeding the PI. I like to play clean and LOUD with a pedal for overdrive.

also thanks for the positive comments, I feel like I get better with each build.

Well here it is in all it's glory :)
Fired right up with no problems so far, quiet as a mouse. When you can AB the two channels quickly you really hear how much is lost with the tone control. Master works great with the Brilliant channel to get some good dirt and snarl at reasonable volumes. Thinking about running channels into the two sides of the PI.
Got a gig on Sunday and might give it whirl.
Spring is finally here so I need to start building some head shells.

Nice build, Randall!

What kind of wire are you using for the pre and heaters? Is that Teflon? I like how fluorescent it seems. Never used it myself.

thanks guys.
and yes PTFE, 22ga stranded for the heaters and 22ga solid for the rest. Thanks to Steve I think I've bought over 2000 feet of wire in different gauges and colors to cover just about anything, http://apexjr.com/wire.html.

Looks great and I like the dropping string resistor placements.

Me too! Can't say I've seen them in those spots before. On my Bassman, I just kept them at the end, by the inverter's plate caps.

thanks, just seemed to make sense because that's where they were leading and had open space.
