woodcraft.com cabinet ???
Anyone made a matching speaker cab for their wreck using a drawer kit? I know people have used the drawer/head cab for a while now, just wondering if anyone tried to make a speaker cab, and if so, how did it sound in cherry? I was kicking around ordering a "drawer" large enough for a 2x12 closed back cab...
Re: woodcraft.com cabinet ???
Distortions( Larry) makes hard wood speaker cabinets that not only look fantastic but I hear that they sound good too.
But as far as your question I am not sure if anyone has ordered the drawer for the cabinet. There is a size limitation for ordering but if you took your idea to a local craftman they could easily dove tail some joints for you. Some are very reasonable. Or retired cabinet makers love these kind of projects making a box.

Thanks Mark, I've seen Larry's cabs and they are really really nice, and someday I'd like to get a head cab from him... That being said, for the price, you can't beat the woodcraft deal. They're not perfect but still nice enough (for now). I just thought it would be cool to have a matching cab, but I know some people feel that pine gives the best sound no matter what, just wondered if anyone had any personal experience... I know for sure you could swing a single 12 size wise from woodcraft, I plugged in some rough numbers for a 2x12 and it gave me a price and allowed me to add it to my cart, don't know...

If you have the plantation grown cherry head cab already I would order the drawer for the speaker and have a nice matching set. I didn't find that the cherry was much different than the Aspen or Poplar? hard woods I find at my local hardware dealer once I put finish on the wood. But what I liked about the woodcraft drawers are that they are easy to assemble with nice joints.
