derailment noise/hum
HEy there, I built a derailment, sounds great but when I put a fuzz(high gain) pedal in front of it I get a really loud hum is this normal or does it sound like a ground loop?

How are you powering the fuzz?
If using an AC adapter, take that off and try a battery.
Still hum?
You got lead dress problems on the front end.

Re: derailment noise/hum
Thanks, I'm using a battery. I'll have a look at the wiring. I used a metal plastic input socket (eg not isolated from the chassis) could this create a problem? Cheers

Nah, if you are using a battery then you shouldn't be getting a ground loop from the pedal.
I would look at your lead dress V1.
Does this amp do this with any other pedal?
Does it hum playing straight into the amp?
What do you mean by a metal plastic input socket?

Are you talking about the input jack?
Typically the input jack is grounded to the chassis.
Do you have a schematic you can post along with pictures of the insides of the amp?
